This is how the Lovers & Haters piece ended up looking..

there's a couple things I don't like about it: the guy in the top right reminds me of Beavis... thinking now I should have put more detail / texture in the tree. I do like how the palette came out, though. Eh.

It was rushed... No excuses, I just don't like rushing.

It came out for half an hour this week... total.

Glad to have sent in my [unfinished!] sketchbook to Arthouse Coop's sketchbook project 2011.. But no sooner had I done so, I got an email from Nate at The Hive Gallery in LA looking for pieces for the upcoming show themed "Lovers & Haters". I had passed up many shows lately but I couldn't let this one pass... I'll have to put a rush on this when I'm done painting so it gets to LA in time..

Every one of my paintings secretly harbors my love-hate relationship with acrylic.
